AAA Western and Central New York Forms Joint Venture with Club Assist
AAA Western and Central New York (WCNY), in partnership with Club Assist, launched a new joint venture (JV) business on Oct. 1, 2020, to serve the 885,000 AAA Members in Upstate New York. The new business, Great Lakes Battery Service, LLC (GLBS), merges the two companies’ collective areas of expertise to focus on the growth and enhancement of the AAA Mobile Battery Service Program in the Western and Central regions of the Empire State.
Since 2002, AAA WCNY has shared a strong relationship with Club Assist as their preferred automotive battery supplier. After working closely for more than 18 years, the two businesses began discussions about their aligned vision and shared goals for the Battery Program and taking the partnership to the next level.
The JV partnership creates shared ownership between AAA WCNY and Club Assist in the Battery Program. “This joint venture increases our ability to tap into an expanded distribution network to ensure greater market penetration,” said John Tutt, President & CEO of Club Assist. “Ultimately, it means being able to provide improved roadside service and increased Member satisfaction.”
